2011 New York Trip-Day 11 – 07/30/2011
It was really hot and humid last night. This morning was not much better. Finally, in the living room with all of the windows open, I found some comfort.
The clues to find the telescope went really well. Even Nathan managed to find a couple. The love the telescope. Zoe mostly likes to stand in front of it, but Olivia has spent a lot of time with it already. She is already putting the lens caps on and turning the spotting laser off when she is through.
We went to see the new house. There was a big deer in the neighbor’s yard, just standing around. Andy said that once when they were there, there were three baby deer playing in the front yard. The house has tons of room. It looks like a three car garage, plus there is a detached shed that is about half the size of our garage. The garage is attached to the house via a mudroom/laundry room. The basement will only need a little work to be usable. My favorite part was the porch. It looks out over the hug front yard. I can just picture the two of them (after the kids are sleeping) sitting out there on a summer evening with a bottle of wine between them. It is going to be a killer place for sleds. They have everything from beginner slopes to kamikaze slopes. They are definitely going to need something to keep the driveway clear during the winter.
I had the girls go around with the camcorder and then had Zoe do the outside. Unfortunately, during the transition from Zoe to Olivia going upstairs, the zoom was pressed so it was at its max . . . so very little of the rest of the video is worth anything visually – although you can still hear talking.
