Devil’s Monument National Monument (from Close Encounters . . .)
This thing is really impressive. It is as if some giant decided to make a huge rock tower and plop it down in the middle of nowhere. I read that once a year, they allow a select group of climbers to climb up it. This would NOT be a trivial undertaking. The countryside leading up to the Tower is breathtaking in places.
